Drawbie is made for children from three years old, which means safety is not a badge we added at the end. It is the reason the product looks and feels the way it does.

Independently lab-tested

Tested to the British and European toy safety standard BS EN 71, with the full test reports on file.

BPA-free materials

Premium ABS, non-toxic, with smooth rounded edges and no sharp corners anywhere on the body.

Washable markers

The twelve colour markers are washable, and the board wipes clean with a cloth.

No loose batteries

A built in battery charged over USB-C, so there is no battery compartment for small fingers to open.

What we test for

Mechanical and physical safety, including small parts and edges
Flammability of the materials used
Migration of chemical elements from the surfaces a child touches
Electrical safety for toys with a rechargeable battery

Certificates and test reports are held on file. If you are a retailer, a nursery or a school and you need documentation for your own records, email contact@drawbie.com and we will send it.

What we will not claim

Drawbie is a drawing toy. It is not a therapeutic device, it does not teach letters or numbers, and we do not make health claims about it. What we will say is that children tend to sit still with it, which parents seem to enjoy as much as the drawings.

Recommended for ages 3 and up. Adult supervision is sensible with any toy at that age.
