Our story

OUR STORY

We wanted to give children back the part where they make something.

Drawbie started with an ordinary afternoon and an uncomfortable observation: a four year old, a tablet, and forty minutes that left nothing behind. No drawing on the fridge. Nothing to be proud of. Just a swipe, and another one.

The problem was never the child

Children do not lack imagination. They lack a starting point. Ask a five year old to draw an elephant on a blank sheet and you will often get a shrug, because the gap between the picture in their head and the line on the paper feels too wide to cross alone.

So we built something that crosses it for them. Put a card in, and the shape appears, calmly, one line at a time. From there the child takes over, and the drawing becomes theirs.

A screen entertains a child. A pencil turns one into someone who makes things.

What we believe

Screen free is not old fashioned. It is what the hands, eyes and attention of a small child are built for.

Finishing matters. The best part of Drawbie is not the robot. It is the moment a child holds up something they completed.

Beautiful things get used. A toy that looks good on the kitchen table stays on the kitchen table, and a toy that stays out gets played with.

Where we are going

Drawbie is the first thing we have made, not the last. New card worlds are being drawn right now, and every one of them starts with the same question: will a child want to finish this?

We are building the brand we would want our own children to grow up with. Creative, calm, and entirely unbothered by the fact that it does not light up.
