About Drawbie

What age is Drawbie for?

Made for boys and girls aged 3 to 8. Younger children love watching Drawbie draw with a grown up alongside. Older children follow the step by step guide on the back of each card on their own. Note: not suitable for children under 3, as it contains small parts.

What is on the 150 cards?

Six worlds with 25 cards each: animals, vehicles, household things, circle objects, food and plants. Every card is different and colour coded by world. The front sets the picture, the back shows how to draw it step by step.

Does Drawbie speak Dutch, German or French?

Drawbie speaks clear English, the same in every country. The printed guide in the box is in six languages including Dutch.

How does Drawbie know what to draw?

Each card carries a code that Drawbie reads when the card slides into the slot on top. Drawbie then says the name out loud, starts the music and draws the matching picture. No internet needed.

What does Drawbie actually say?

It names every one of the 150 cards, and gives friendly encouragement when a drawing is finished.

Power and charging

Does Drawbie need an app or Wi-Fi?

No. Drawbie is completely standalone. Open the box, slide a card in, and that is it. No phone, no tablet, no Wi-Fi.

How do I charge it?

Plug in the included USB-C cable. The indicator light is red while charging and green when it is full. Charge under adult supervision and not unattended.

Can I replace the battery?

The 1500 mAh battery is built in and not user replaceable, for safety reasons. If you ever have an issue with it, write to contact@drawbie.com and we will help.

Safety and care

Is Drawbie safe?

Drawbie has been independently lab-tested to the British and European toy safety standard BS EN 71. Premium ABS, BPA-free, with smooth rounded edges. See our safety page.

How do I clean it?

Wipe the body with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not put it in water and do not use harsh chemicals. The drawing board wipes clean with a dry cloth.

The drawings look light. What should I do?

Swap in a fresh brush. If lines are still patchy, gently adjust the arm joint one or two millimetres down so the tip meets the paper evenly.

Cards, markers and refills

Can I buy more cards later?

New card worlds are being drawn right now. Join the newsletter and you will be the first to know when they arrive.

What paper does it work on?

Use the included wipe clean board, or ordinary A4 paper. Keep the paper still and do not move Drawbie while it is drawing.

What happens when the markers run out?

Replacement marker and brush packs are on the way. In the meantime, write to contact@drawbie.com and we will sort you out.

Shipping, returns and gifting

What does shipping cost?

Shipping is free on every order over €60, which covers every Drawbie. Smaller orders are charged at checkout. See our shipping page for the full rates.

How long does delivery take?

Delivery times depend on your country and are shown at checkout. Every order is sent with tracking and you will get an email with the link as soon as it is on its way.

Can I send Drawbie as a gift?

Yes. Ship to a different address at checkout. Drawbie arrives in its retail box inside a plain outer mailer, so the surprise survives the doormat.

What is your return policy?

30 days, no fuss. If something is not right, write to contact@drawbie.com and we will sort it out. See our refund policy for the details.

What if it breaks?

Write to contact@drawbie.com within 30 days of receiving your Drawbie and we will make it right. Things happen with little hands at home.
